Meet your Neighbourhood Inspector Sarah Greenhalgh

As Spelthorne’s Neighbourhood Inspector I am committed to working with local communities and partner organisations to find solutions to local issues.
The borough now has ten Safer Neighbourhood Teams, dedicated and visible policing teams made up to Neighbourhood Specialist Officers (NSO) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSO).
With colleagues in the Community Safety Team, the teams work to tackle crime and disorder issues in local communities and we continue to have successes in dealing with anti-social behaviour and criminal damage across Spelthorne. Initiatives have resulted in officers in Ashford and Staines clearing up 34 graffiti offences and seizing numerous bottles and cans of alcohol from young people across Shepperton and Sunbury.
Continual pro-active police led operations over the last year have also resulted in a dramatic reduction of almost 24 per cent in vehicle crime across the borough and a reduction in overall crime of 12 per cent.
Joint working between organisations is key to solving problems and we hold regular Partnership Action Days with Spelthorne Borough Council, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service, the DVLA, VOSA and the youth services.
We continue to target known offenders and those intending to visit Spelthorne to commit offences and remain committed to working with local residents, young people and businesses across the borough to create Safer Neighbourhoods.
