Telephone OperatorOur Central Support Team is in effect an in-house temp agency. Team members - currently numbering more than 100 dedicated individuals - work in all areas of Surrey Police. Employed on a casual basis, they help the force to deliver its wide range of top quality public services.

Variety is the name of the game….. Tasks may include office admin or secretarial duties and on occasion could include working in property or other specialist areas.

Assignments are of varying lengths depending on force requirements. The team has an excellent reputation for providing cover for illness, maternity leave, holiday periods or working wherever there are gaps to be filled in any department.

You'll need:

  • Reasonable skills with Microsoft Office
  • The flexibility and confidence to regularly take on new tasks and challenges
  • The maturity to handle a variety of situations and deal with people from all walks of life
  • The character to work either as part of a team or (sometimes) alone
  • Articulate communication skills and a friendly manner
  • Be able to offer us a minimum of 28 hours per week
